Terms of Service
Welcome. These Terms of Service govern your use of Paris Lingua services, including online lessons, in-person courses, and self-paced modules. By enrolling in a course, requesting a trial, or accessing material through our platform, you agree to these terms. If you represent an organization or corporate client, you confirm authority to accept these terms on behalf of that organization. These terms complement our Privacy Policy which describes how we handle personal data. If you have questions about any provision, contact us at [email protected]. The sections below describe core obligations, payment terms, cancellations, ownership, and limits of liability. Read all sections carefully before enrolling.
Services and enrollment
Paris Lingua provides language instruction and related services in multiple formats: group classes, private lessons, intensive immersions, workshops, and self-paced digital modules. Course descriptions and schedules are provided on our website and in enrollment materials. Enrollment is confirmed after full completion of the registration process and receipt of any required payment. We reserve the right to refuse enrollment or to reassign learners to an alternative suitable course where necessary. Course delivery may occur in person at our Paris location or online using our chosen platform. For online delivery, learners must provide a suitable internet connection and device. Learners are responsible for ensuring they meet any stated prerequisites. Course durations, schedules, class sizes, and tutor assignments are outlined in the course information and may be adjusted if operationally required, with notice to enrolled learners. We strive to maintain consistent tutor assignments, but substitutions can occur for scheduling or health reasons. For corporate programs and bespoke training, specific contractual terms will apply alongside these Terms of Service. Paris Lingua retains discretion to suspend or terminate access to services where a learner breaches rules of conduct, presents a safety risk, or engages in fraudulent activity. All learners agree to treat tutors, staff, and other participants with respect and to follow reasonable directions concerning safety, confidentiality, and classroom conduct. Failure to comply may lead to removal from a course without refund in serious cases.
Fees, payment, and refunds
Course fees are set out on our website and in course materials. Prices are quoted in euros and include VAT where applicable. Payment terms are specified at enrollment; options may include single payment, instalments, or invoiced corporate arrangements. Access to course materials and lessons requires receipt of agreed payment. Paris Lingua may cancel or suspend access for non payment after providing notice. Refunds are considered according to the type of service and the time of cancellation. For group courses, learners who cancel before the published course start date may be eligible for a refund less an administration fee. Once a course has commenced, partial refunds are limited as resources and tutor time have been allocated. Private lessons and intensive programs have specific cancellation and refund windows; refer to the enrollment confirmation for details. Self-paced modules are generally non refundable once access credentials have been issued and materials have been accessed. Special circumstances such as prolonged illness or force majeure are considered case by case; supporting documentation may be required. For corporate clients, refunds and chargebacks will be handled according to the applicable contract. Payment disputes should be reported promptly to our support team; we will work to resolve issues in a timely manner. Late payments may attract interest and collection costs within legal limits where applicable.
Cancellations, rescheduling, and credit
Learners may request cancellations or rescheduling via the contact channels provided. For group sessions, schedule changes are subject to class minimums and tutor availability; if a session is cancelled by Paris Lingua we will offer a rescheduled session or credit or refund where appropriate. Private lesson cancellations must follow the notice period specified in the booking confirmation; late cancellations may incur a charge equivalent to the scheduled session. Intensive or immersion bookings require earlier notice windows and deposits to secure logistics. Where lessons are missed by a learner without prior notice, refunds are not available, though a one-off reschedule may be offered at the discretion of the tutor and administration subject to availability. Credit for future courses may be issued in lieu of refunds in certain situations and will have an expiry date stated on the credit note. Force majeure events such as natural disaster, government travel restrictions, pandemics, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control may lead to postponement, delivery by alternative means, or cancellation. In such events we will make reasonable efforts to communicate options including rescheduling, credit, or refund in line with operational capabilities. Learners should ensure contact details are up to date to receive timely notifications about scheduling changes.
Intellectual property and content use

Materials are provided for the personal educational use of enrolled learners only and may not be reproduced, distributed, published, or used for commercial purposes without express written permission. Tutors retain moral rights in their original work where applicable. Learners may be invited to submit work or recordings for feedback; by submitting you grant Paris Lingua a non exclusive license to use these submissions for internal training, quality assurance, or anonymized promotional examples unless you opt out in writing. Unauthorized recording of live lessons or sharing of materials outside the authorized learning environment is prohibited and may result in termination of access and potential legal action. Where third party content is used, the relevant third party terms apply and we will identify sources and rights where feasible. If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed in materials delivered by us, contact our support team and provide relevant details to enable investigation and remedial action.
Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paris Lingua and its affiliates, employees, and agents exclude liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special losses, including loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for direct losses resulting from negligence or breach of contract is limited to the fees paid for the specific service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or for other liabilities which cannot be excluded under applicable law. You agree to indemnify and hold Paris Lingua harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of services. This indemnity includes reasonable legal costs and expenses incurred in defending claims where the claim is caused by your actions. If you are contracting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these terms and that the organization will be responsible for the obligations herein.
